We are leaving Bamako, Mali behind today & moving on out to our next destination.

Before we do that, we have a little problem. Jon, Channing & Marceline have been looking everywhere & we cannot find Jennifer anywhere. We can't just leave her behind stranded in Mali now can we? Last we heard, she was headed to the Bamako markets. We have help from local authorities, they sent us some live aerial footage of a market she might be in. Please find her. We can't move on without our beloved Jennifer  . Please post a screenshot of where Jennifer is in the below picture. You will get a 1 minute penalty for every wrong answer.


I will post clues on the main race thread to her location once every 10 minutes. You will get a 2 minute penalty for every clue it takes you to find her. So for example if your team finds her after 2 clues were posted, you will get a 4 minute penalty. She is not easy to spot.

Dakar is one of the largest cities in Africa & the most populated in Senegal. It has a rich history that I will brush upon later after the race bc it's not something that I want to be overlooked by people rushing through these tasks racing, but it was not always a happy place. While nothing is perfect, the culture has changed a lot over the centuries & today Dakar is home to a very family orientated tradition. While Dakar has great beaches & waves for the surfing industry, it's also a very music driven community. We are going to combine both in this Detour. You will have to listen to the song below. You will notice that there are no lyrics. That's your job now. Your team knows it needs a good night sleep before another big day tomorrow, so it's now time to find a hotel to stay at for the night. Your task to move on from this is to name all the hotels you have visited along the way (all the hotels you stay at after the pit stops.) I need the names of the hotels, not their pictures. So I hope you were paying attention when I was posting them. The Hotel thread is closed & will reopen at 9:30pm EST. However, if you wait until the hotel opens, you will get a penalty this time so read carefully.


- If you get them all right on your first try, you will get 10 minutes shaved off your time
- If you get them all right on your second try, you will get 7 minutes shaved off your time
- If you get them all right on your third try, you will get 5 minutes shaved off your time
- If you get at least half of them right in any guesses, you will not get a penalty & you will get to move on
- If you submit after the Hotel opens, you will get a 5 minute penalty.

We have now reached Limón, Costa Rica. It is the seventh largest city in Costa Rica, with a population of over 55,000, and is home of the Afro-Costa Rican community. Part of the community traces its roots to Italian, Jamaican and Chinese laborers who worked on a late nineteenth-century railroad project that connected San José to Puerto Limón.
